SOAF medicals is driven by the need to provide preventive healthcare and early disease detection. Oftentimes, individuals write to the foundation seeking assistance as a last resort after visiting various hospitals and seeking solutions from alternative sources. SOAF will generally provide healthcare to these people, who not only cannot pay hospital bills but also lack information on where to go or who can provide the much-needed help. However, medical care and advice when it is too late. We noticed that those that come to SOAF for help were those who had gone to several places without solution to their health problems. Unfortunately, this delayed medical care results in permanent damages or loss of affected organs.
Hence, SOAF is building a first class medical centre/hospital as an intervention platform to provide quick response to health needs of those who cannot afford proper medical care. The medical centre will be located in Epe town within Epe Local Government Area (LGA) of Lagos State, Nigeria, located at the north side of the Lekki Lagoon. The medical centre will target 294 rural and 24 semi-urban communities. Interestingly Epe is one of the fastest growing communities in Lagos State.
